Fella's;

I'm asking this of actual user's. I'm told that the .475 Linebaugh can use .480 Ruger ammunition much like .44 Special/.44 magnum & several others. I have no doubt that's true. What I'm curious about is the actual recoil difference between the two rounds. Anybody have any personal experience?

Personal no, but:

The 480 is loaded to 357/44 pressure limits around 36,000. I have fired one of these, not too bad.

The 475 runs at 454 pressures(some loads are as high as 60,000):what:

So I imagine that the diff will be similar to heavy 45 colt(which runs up to around 32,000) vs. 454. If so, my experience with that spread feels like felt recoil is pretty close to 2 1/2 times greater.

Heavier all around due to heavier slug but the difference should be about that ratio.
