Well I can't find out how to do a PM but I'd like ya'll to know. Somewhere around 2014 I had finished my largest cannons. I was asking THR how much BP to throw the 3" lead balls. I found this post when trying to resurrect an old computer. He said to start with 6oz. That's about a half full sandwich bag. Otherwise known as a rather scary amount of BP. We shot the cannon with 4oz to 8oz and found that 6oz gave the best results. Almost exactly one mile. Now it's just a matter of, "Yup! that's how much were gonna use!" This I say to those who wanna watch and think I'm crazy - probably right. I make my own BP for some time now in 2.2Kg batches. I once more get the "are you crazy" look. I think I've made some 14 cannons since and plan more. In the mean while, thanks Gary! You've always been a great source of advice and direction. Your moderation of the BP makes it one of the most interesting, informative and friendly of THR. Someday I hope to meet you and shake your hand. Oh, and for all the antics of the earlier years. That was as much fun as it was therapy!

I supposed next he's gonna tell us there's doughnuts! Just to stir things up like I did years ago.... Ya think OW will serve the coffee? [ I know, I should start running now!]

Every so often reading your posts reminds me of when my late uncle experienced my ex brother-in-law. My uncle uttered the now famous words – boy, I met a lot of people that didn't want to live forever, you're the first I've met that don't deserve to see tomorrow.

Just for future reference… The coffee pot is on the counter, there's cups on the hook under the cupboard. Get your own coffee.
