5.11 Clothing: Decent or Junk?

Do you really think Sig produces their own pants or are they just 5.11 pants or a generic knock off with a Sig label on them?

The SigTac design is not a 5.11 knock off. They are a totally different design. They have standard type front and flapped rear pockets. The cargo pockets have a zipper entrance on the front so they can be fully accessed sitting down. The fabric is a heavy cotton/ploy ripstop with Lycra so they "give" when you move. The cut and fit is also different. The SigTac pants are a high quality BDU type pant with a number of improvements. I am much more willing to wear them in public than 5.11s.

I prefer 5.11's over regular BDUs... I think the design is nicer...

have the 5.11's changed since Royal Robbins no longer makes them?

And is the Royal Robbins Half Dome the same as the 5.11?

I have 5.11 pants that are labeled Royal Robbins, and pants that are labeled as 5.11. Both versions have given me no issues, but the Royal Robbins pants seem to be a little softer. I think the 5.11 versions may use a little heavier material.
