It looks like the OAL for 5.7x28 is about 38mm
45/10mm is 32mm
Basically, there's now way you'd fit that into existing handgun platforms. It wouldn't even fit into a 10mm/45 acp sized frame. That's a big reason nobody chambers their pistols in it.
Thats what I was afraid of. Its also the most "hated" new round as well.
Its hard to market it if half of everybody: wants to ban it because it's too powerful? And the other half hates it cause its wimpy? I don't think I'd want to spend R&D on it either.
I like it, it tested well for me. ( I use it in the PS90 rifle though, 16" barrel might make a difference.)
Small revolver like the ruger bearcat or even a blackhawk would be a fun varmint gun, remember the blackhawk was chambered in .30 carbine. It would be fun in a light bolt action or semi-action carbine. Think 16" barreled 10/22 sized rifle.
