Can the coating be reapplied?
No one outside of FN knows exactly what it is. But it is NOT lacquer. Out of curiosity, I’m waiting for someone to do a chromatography analysis of it. For me, as far as reloading goes, it’s a non-issue.

Thump,
Was that factory ammo or reloads? I have a very low round count through both, factory round probably 150-200 through the PS90 and around 50 through the pistol. I reloaded around 40 rounds and tested them in my FN pistol and my buddy's. They were a little light. And I need to work it up a little more.

Rule,
Yeah, it's hard to get good info sometimes.

Hence, my concerns.

Go to post #12 which I find a lot more reliable than someone just flapping their jaw thinking it is all easy peezy, saying it doesn't matter.
FN(Federal) put the coating on for a reason.

You guys must wear body armor, and ballistic shields, to shoot your reloads, as cocky as you are. Just kidding, but some of those guns really blow, when they go and the guys that shoot them are counting to make sure they have 10 fingers left, when it happens. Just saying.

no it’s a special paint that FN uses. But that would not stop me from hanging the case on a lollipop pop jig and use a spray bottle with something hard cure.

I R Engineer!

I B having ideeea!

...Would dry lube suffice in cases stripped of this mysterious "lacquer" substance people speak of?
