I have seen alot of discussion about 50-30 and smaller. When I was in the military we played with different Cal's . One thing we noticed right off was that you had to beef up the breech. The second was to fast pulled the rifling out of the weapons or caused weapons failure. A 50-30 is a real round. But I can't emphasize enough that to fire it you have to have a weapon designed for it. Smaller rounds do exist but they are not safe. Or weren't safe, but alas things change.
