I have a East Ridge/ State Arms "Rebel" With a 36" SS bull barrel, with a lefthand bolt. Larry the owner is a great guy, I went to his shop and met him. He explained everything I asked about, and things I didn't know, being a newb in the .50 game. He makes a beautiful rifle, And it shoots amazing too.

There are many nice rifles out there, I would say spend your first money and join the FCSA. I did, and it was the best money spent.

What ever you do STAY AWAY from that Vulcan/ Hesse crap.

Good luck, and have fun.

Take a look at http://www.ferret50.com/
I have read many great things about the Ferret Arms rifles. A few of them have done quite well in competition as well.
I am currently building a rifle on a McMillan action, but this may be a little more than you are willing to spend. All of the above are great choices, but do a little research and see what suits you best. And check out FCSA.org for a ton of info.

Cheers,
Bullzeye
