6.5-06 brass is sold by Midway USA and the manufacturer is A-Square. My personal approach is to use .270 Win (1 pass through the sizing and neck die) for load development and everyday use and 30-06 Lapua for Match use. I'm using primarily 140 Berger VLD Targets over 52.5 gr of Vhit N-165 and getting 3/8 groups; based on an average of (3) 3-shot groups. With the Bergers, follow Eric Stecker's instructions (found on the Berger web-site) on seating depth. My primary rifle is an El Cheapo Rem 798 with an 8 twist 26" Shilen Moly barrel. I'm in the process of building my second 6.5-06 based on an older Remington Sendero and keeping the same taper. I should add that I do neck turn but only enough to knock down the high spots and neck size only about 1/2 way down the neck after fire forming. On the Win. brass I'm on #4 for reloading. To help keep down the throat erosion for this or any other barrel, pace your shots and let your barrel cool between shooting strings. This is probably the most accurate rifle (next to my 6PPC) I have ever had and you just can't beat the BC of the 6.5 or the availability of the brass.
