I saw some new nickel plated 6.5 brass and wondered if there are any pros or cons to buying these for reloading. Would they react differently to work gardening or future annealing?

I have a few nickel cases mixed in my 22-250 brass and I never noticed anything significant. They have multiple loadings and the nickel has started to wear off in spots.

May get few less loadings out of it ....

And if you see scratches appear in your brass case ...need clean the nickel out of them with fine steel wool...
They are easier to clean than brass ... Sure do look good ...

I don't go out my way to get nickel ....but I have never had any problems with it either...

I have some 38 SPL brass that has the nickel worn off it everywhere but in the headstamp. It may not last as long as plain brass but I cant tell. The only problem I have found is when trimming rifle brass the nickel brass seems to dull the cutter head faster. Also they clean easier and are easier to spot on the ground.

I don’t do the nickel brass after I stuck one in a die I’d lubed it the same as the others and it stuck anyways so I avoid it like the plague

I have reloaded nickel for years.

I annealed nickel 308 with no issues.
I even cut it down and anneal it for 300/BLK.

I get nickel "wear" but no flaking. No sticking in Dies. No damage to Dies.

what happens when you re form it to that different size. Is it malleable or does it bind or anything? I want to change 303 British in a fairly big way. Did you have any problem?

I did not have any issues forming the 223 to 300/blk.

This particular conversion doesn't move much material in my opinion as compared to other bottle neck cartridges.
