6.5x55 Swede Fans which rifle?

Okay looking at buying a new hunting rifle. Looking at the 6.5x55 Swede, I know that Ruger still makes a rifle, and that CZ Makes a rifle. I found a Howa but now its gone, so don't know if I can get on don't see one on Legacy Sports website.

Out of those three which one do you know is the better of the rifles?

the cz will be the best of these three, the single set trigger alone will make you worship God. It doesnt hurt that cz's are the most acc mass production gun maybe ever made. but if the wood is too pretty, go get you a remfgrd old ww2 carl gustav in synthetic, done up by Howa or Kimber, for about 300 to 350 dollars.

CZ gets my vote. I own a M-96 and an M-34. I wish I would have bought a Winchester M-70 featherweight when they were available.

I found a Remington 700 classic in 6.5x55. It seems to be one of the
better 700 rifles I have owned; both in accuracy and general appearance.
The stock work is superior to most Remingtons, and has classic lines.

Yeah I have a M96 that is great, made by Husquavarna in 1943 love that rifle, would never do anything to butcher it though. I like the CZ rifles , the 6.5x55 Swede just seems like a versatile round for me, for Deer and the possible Elk.

I wish I could find one of the Remington Classics, but don't think there are that many around, would sure like to find one. Yeah I have seen the ones that were built by Kimber of Oregon, but I would really like to get a modern rifle, to get the maximum out of the 6.5x55.

6.5X55 Swede

Shell Shucker, I saw a Winchester Model 70 Featherweight (if I remember right) in 6.5X55 at a local gun show last weedend. Looked to be in excellent condition and was priced in the mid $600 range.

Don't deer hunt anymore. but I thought it would have made a dandy deer gun.

Also, sorry but I don't remember who had it.

Well, the 6.5x55 is a Scandinavian round, so it just somehow seems appropriate to mention that you can find 2 rifles from it's native land that shoot it:

Tikka or Sako.

Now, I know Tikka is owned by Beretta so I don't know if that's affected quality any, but the Sakos are still Finnish made from the best of my knowledge. The Finnlight would be my ideal rifle for the 6.5x55 round.

It's a shame I can't quite swing the $1.2K needed for one right now!

Where Tikka rifles are made? Is it a factory?
Tikka rifles are designed and made at Sako Ltd´s rifle factory in Riihimäki, Finland. Before 1988 Tikka rifles were manufactured in Tikkakoski rifle factory in the Central Finland.

I thought Beretta owned Sako also.

Tikka is owned by Sako, and Sako is owned by Berreta. I own a Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55.

watch for Tikka Whitetail Hunters in this cal. not to piss off T3 owners... but I think the stocks on these are better than the current ones (especially the synthetics).

Steyr SBS in this cal are pretty neat too.
