Hello all, new to this forum but wanted to share a long awaited moment. Also looking for some advice. Built a wildcat cartridge off of german 6.5x65. Improved the cartridge by using a creedmoor reamer run deep. Ordered an mgm barrel in 6.5 creedmoor for tc prohunter configuration. Chamber turned out well. Fireformed cases with COW. H20 capacity went from 68.1 gr to 74.1 gr. the only thing is the rws brass is thick at the neck shoulder junction. When i fireformed the cases, i set the headspace back .004 which gave me donuts at the junction. The neck walls run about .0165 on the RWS brass, which is bit tight for the creedmoor chamber. I think i can neck turn these to correct the problem, but not sure. Also, this brass is TOUGH, but i dont know what pressures i might see at 60-62 gr 7828 ssc with 123 sst. Dont know what the encore can handle pressure wise. Any ideas would be appreciated.
