60 minutes is running another piece tonight. It has something to do with a man from Kosovo buying guns here. Just saw the promo on it and thought I'd share.

arrrrgghhhhhhhhh!!!!!! I just watched that POS report. Unfreakin' believeable......they bring on the show this foreign national who has been illegally shipping guns out of the country to fight a war in Kosovo and HE starts lecturing us about our gun laws!

He says that "there's no questions asked.....just pay for it and away you go". Then they get a former BATF agent to go along with this farce. :cuss: :cuss: :fire: :fire:

CBS needs to have their news credentials revoked.....I've never seen such out and out bald-faced lies put on a so-called news show. We're not even talking about manipulating statistics here.....just plain lies.

If this Albanian individual has broken federal law, why is he not is on trial for it?

What I found to be more disturbing than more anti .50 propaganda, was the call for a National Registry....

What a poor piece of..... journalism on the part of See BS.... :cuss:

Poor Ed Bradley

He looked as if he had just smelled fecal matter. They are not going to give up on this story.

Several lies were accepted as fact. Example: "any gun used by the U
S military is available in gun stores and at gun shows"

Disgusting.

tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick-tick- Is there really anybody left who thinks these cadavers are relevant?

Okay that was horrible... my BF and I watched it while we were eating... combined with HORRIBLE SERVICE (you ever get the feeling you would get better service being two hot firefighters--> ie the table next to us) made us sick. It was completely slanted one way and even had a tidbit about a national database of guns, serial numbers, and purchasers :banghead: :cuss:

Yeah, I just watched the piece. I just loved the scumbag lecturing us about our supposedly lax gun laws. You would think Ed Bradley would have asked the REAL question here...

Where were our law enforcement authorities while this guy was shipping one hundred .50 caliber rifles out of the country under the guise of "foreign aid"?

Of course, no one asked that question. Putting more laws, most of which can't be enforced anyway (as this story points out), on the books will somehow make us all safer. Right?

All Bradley could call into question was our the quality of our gun control legislation. It never dawned on him that the guy in the story BROKE ABOUT 1,000 CURRENT LAWS when shipping those rifles overseas like he did.

Bradley, very irresponsibly, made it seem like the guy's activities were legally defensible and that, therefore, we need more gun control legislation.

Is it just me??? :fire:

If our gun laws are soooo rediculous...

Why does this guy see the need to smuggle guns into his country...Perhaps if his country had these rediculous laws, he might not have to go to such lengths to smuggle guns to fight for his cause...What a GOOF!
If we had his country's laws, perhaps we would be looking for somewhere to get guns to save our country!

SCREW CBS :barf:

The absolute best part was at the end

I was rolling when the Albanian guy basically said something like "Well, I did it for the good of my country but I truely believe in my heart that someone else could do it for the bad."

I found the segment to be really fascinating.

It showed an "upstanding" NY citizen confessing to multiple straw purchase violations, multiple violations on the prohibition of illegally exporting firearms, and other violations of the law I can't even recall off the top of my head.

It showed a former high-ranking ATF official who certainly could have made a call to current active agents and told them they had a major felon right there in the studio.

It showed the author of a book who had first-hand knowledge that this upstanding citizen had committed hundreds of serious felonies, but did nothing to alert authorities. Doesn't that constitute being an accomplice?

If 60 Minutes had disguised the faces of these three, maybe they could argue about the need to protect sources. But they didn't.

Where's the ATF? This isn't exactly a trail of breadcrumbs.

I smell Dan the Man in the wood pile on this one! :barf:
CBS has little to no credibility with the American public and continues to loose what little they have.

They Just Do Not Get It!

GOOD-BYE CBS NEWS & ALL YOUR ADVERTISERS -- HINT HINT --! :p

This story was the biggest crock of $h*t!

I smell shill! The whole thing looks like it was just thrown together at the last minute. Where the hell is the ATF and why weren't they there arresting this guy?

It's funny how they mentioned every state that they bought .50's in or used to ship them through. Everyone of them have current .50 legislation pending and in Kali's case have banned them!

This is by far worse then Blathergate, nothing like the Communist Broadcasting Station!

This guy's door (along with the author of that book) needs to be kicked down in the next few days and he needs to be thrown in jail for a few dozen decades. He sounds like that woman in Chicago who just got busted for filing the serial number off an illegal gun; "it's ok if I commit a few dozen felonies, but somebody who's really bad might do it!"

I saw the preview for it a couple times today while watching the NCAA Tournament. The thing that kept getting said was, "It can kill someone a mile away."

I was under the impression that several large game hunting rounds are quite capable of killing someone a mile away. So what's the big deal about the .50? Oh, because it's scary I guess.

Exactly how many people have been killed by the .50 BMG anyways?

Isn't the number like zero?

Well, let's be careful, or we'll be just like the antis.

I'd say it like this:

The number of people in America that have been killed by criminal/terrorist use of the .50 BMG can be counted on one hand.

So it's more than zero? I don't recall any specific cases where a .50 was used to kill someone intentionally, but if you've got a source I'd love to see it.

We live in a country where, thankfully, one need not be licensed to report the news.

Matt,

Sorry for the confusion...didn't mean to imply that they didn't have the right to lie....

Notice I said 'credentials'.....these so-called news organizations have the 1st ammendment right to say anything they want. That's all fine and dandy, however they also have to have 'press passes' as credentials to gain access to certain venues. If they are not going to report news and are going to resort to being nothing more than propaganda machines for a political agenda then I say that they forfeit their privileged access to those same venues.

60 Minutes is not a news show, it is nothing more than a mouthpipe for every Socialist cause that comes knocking.

"See B S and report it as truth" needs a major remake...fromm Les Moonves all the way down to the 'custodial workers'.

I quit watching "60 Minutes of Full Spin Left" back during the airanina Hostage Crisis...some time in the '70's
