The 642 has had three threads dedicated to the 642, of which I own several examples of, Now it's time for the 638 Club. Please post your "Camelbacks" and briefly tell us why you favor the 38 over other J frames.

Count me in! Mine is my edc. The single action breaks like glass and is sometimes fun for the range.

Wife's choice for her Pistol Packin' Mama purse-carry where there's the potential for shooting from within, it matches my hammer-version perfectly so she can pick up either and shoot with confidence. It's a perfect pairing.

These are such an under-rated pairing in the day of modern semi-auto poodle-shooters (by which I mean the .32 ACP and .380 plastic pistols) that it's remarkable. An excellent choice for CCW.

Sorry...no 638 here...just my 1965 Model 38 Airweight, since equipped with a Tyler T grip, and frequent resident of my pocket.
I think it's pretty nice looking.

Im in. I think its a perfect revolver for the pocket. Its pleasant to shoot, and the sights are perfect at 15 yards. I have a Crimson Trace grip on it now, and when the urge hits me to carry a revolver, it gets the nod over several other snubbies I have in my collection.
