686 optics help (j-point, Burris Fast Fire, etc)

I'm thinking about trying to take a Deer or Boar with my 6in 686 this year. I mostly still hunt in the woods, so shots would be 50-60 yards (maybe 85, worst case). It stays pretty dark in the swamp where I hunt, so iron sights become useless (especialy against a black boar) pretty quick.
Im thinking about mounting some sort of light weight reddot. I would like to use a J-point style so I can still carry it in a regular belt holster. I know J-point and Pride and Folwer make a tiny optic and a S&W mount but I would prefer to use the Burris FastFire since it is $100-$150 cheaper, but they dont make a Smith mount.
Anyone know if i can use a J-point, P&F, Trijicon, etc mount with the fastfire. thanks

BTW, I know I could mount a weaver rail, and buy the Fastfire with a weaver base, but I want to avoid that since that setup wont fit a standard holster

Don't know, but I have used a J-Point on a Smith and it works well. You can buy a rail to fit the Smith and use any red dot.

Another choice would be for a laser sight=Crimson Trace?? That way you would still have your factory sights as light would allow??

Aimtech makes a mount that leaves the factory rear sight.
