6mm ARC ANYONE LOAD FOR IT?

I am curious as to see what kind of accuracy you can get out of it!
Ar/bolt action?

I’m curious too. 6arc seems like a round with immense potential.

That’s just it I am thinking I want one Uber accurate semi auto aka MSR and I think this will fit the Bill nicely also I’d like to shoot yotes with it!

I have a few empty cases from one of our regulars at the range. Looks very much like a 6.5 Grendel only with a different shoulder angle.

I was very curious about 6 arc as well. Looks and sounds like the best round for an AR. The big issue I had while learning about the round relates to the bolt. White oak did an article talking about how thin sections of the bolt get with a case that size. The pressure was limited to something like 52k and separate data for bolt actions would follow later. Ar chamberings come and go quick so I figured I'd wait and see if it has staying power and when used in competition if there are any breakage issues. If your going to get it in a bolt action it would have to be better than a 6br for me to consider it.

I see a few bench shooters at our range shooting 6br, 6 Dasher and 6mm PRC. Of course all of these guns were custom built and cost a good deal of money. But just recently I read an article at Savage Shooters that Savage for the 2021 model year is going to be offering the 6ARC in both the Axis and the Model 110 as a production gun. Could prove very interesting. Believe if I could find one local I might have to buy one.

I’ve seen the article and my take on it was this yes if you try to hot rod it it will have problems but how fast does it have to go to ring steel or punch paper I maybe might once in a blue moon coyote hunt with it but again how fast does it need to be going at reasonable (for me 300 yards or less) range I wanted something different I liked the case design it’s backed by Hornady so I think it’ll do good also as a handloader I can take care of my ammo needs as always ymmv

I'm not speaking bad about it, just some considerations from what I found. Its main target is the long distance competition crowd that seems to look for that next node above max. If your not a velosity chaser then I'm sure they tested enough to prove reliability below 52k.

Yes I see your point I’m sure it will work out fantastic that’s why I am building one now back to the topic anyone have any real experience loading for one?

Not something I think the main crowd would know about and clean out.
I have a little over 200 of the 115 Gr DTacs left. They are out of stock as well, but were still in stock longer than the Berger 105 Hybrid.

IMHO, they would be a bit heavy for the 6 ARC, although I know a fellow who shoots them out of 6 BR cases, but he has occasional nose dive feeding issues.

I wanted to shoot I would even consider a 68 grain barts or something. It might not be super long range but it would likely be acceptable to a few hundred for break in.

that 105 Hybrid is hard to find. Seen 6.5 hybrid but not any 105 6mm.
