7.62 x 39 primer spirals

I have been reloading 7.62 x 39 for years using a Hornady #3140sp bullet with 30 gr. of H335 with a CCI primer.
I ran out of CCI primers and subed a Federal primer--bad mistake
The primer appears to be smacking the bolt so hard that it has started spirals in the metal of the bolt face--see enclosed photo---any one ever have this problem?

CCI primers are harder than Federal primers so I doubt the primer is smacking the bolt any harder than before it's just that it now shows.

I think you are correct---I just took out the bolt & the whole bolt is a spiral.
