I'm generally not an AR guy. In fact, my converted Saiga's like a third arm to me now.
But I'm also a huge tinker, can't make my class homework take up all my day, and don't currently have a project for the lathe and mill.
And I don't need another caliber, or I'd just go and buy something used in .223.
So, my long-term idea is to start buying parts I can't make, and make the parts I can, and start nudging together an AR in x39. But I don't have much AR knowledge, and my Google-fu is suffering from some bad karma tonight.
So, when searching out an upper, are the M4 ramps desirable for the commie caliber, or are they specific for small-bore?
