Hey everyone,

I recently had the idea of making a cat sneeze load for the 7.62x39 cartridge using a .308 caliber bullet instead of a lead cast bullet. I think this would reduce the friction enough to work because the 7.62x39 round normally uses a .312 caliber bullet.

Does anyone have any insight on this? And can anyone tell me how to calculate the amount of pistol powder that will create the 7.62x39s max chamber pressure of 51490 psi

Cat sneeze loads are a lead bullet domain. The problem being that if you stick a bullet in a rifle, when you open the action, all that pressure is still in there. Also, my light load may not work in your gun. Barrel length, a bit larger diameter, too many variables.
