I have a Norinco SKS. bought dies 1000 rds of brass & same on bullets.
The bullets mic .310 is that what they should be or have I been had? Thought they were supposed to be .308.

I agree with Joel .310-.311" is correct for most com-block guns chambered in 7.62x39

my tc 7.62X39 is 308 yet TC said its ok to use 310 and my dpms ar in 7.62X29 i do believe is 308 and i use 310's in it

Most FL sizing dies come with two expander buttons, one for .308 and one for .310. Make sure you size with the correct button.

Although maximum pressure for the 7.62x39 is about 51,500psi, most factory milsurp ammo doesn't seem to be loaded anywhere near that pressure(handloading at max pressures with .310/.311 bullets in a .308" barrel maybe different, so starting low and working up is proberly a good idea).
The TC action and the AR front locking bolt are stronger by design than the drop down rear locking bolt of the SKS anyways.

Thanks guys. Yall have got me started.
I will start low for sure & when I cant tell the difference ina a reload & a factory by shooting it that is where I will stop.
