Fabulous job on the Beavertail fit. Though I don't really like OD 1911's this one sure is purdy!

Thanks for the compliments. This was the first one I had done in all green done alot of the tu tone with the green I wasnt sure how it would look but it came out well. It kinda grows on ya. Its what the customer wanted so if hes happy thats all that matters.

Very Nice Work! You got a great B-Tail fit and the carry bevel is very nice also. Keep up the good work!

Very nice work, especially the grip safety/frame fit and the mainspring housing fit to the frame. A few questions:

    1) Although you stated the base pistol is a Series '70, it looks like a pre-Series '70 to me, based on the rollmarks. Is the pistol a 1960's Commercial Colt? Very nice base pistol.

    2) Was the magazine well beveled to aid reloads?

    3) Is the front sight staked? It looks like it in the pictures, but I cannot tell.

its a 67 commercial Colt. The magwell was beveled to make reloads easier.
From what I gathered from the customer this is going to be a carry/defensive gun. The front sight is staked on.
