I did, which is why I refrained from posting anything pertaining to the first couple of "dated" posts pertaining to the Remington 700 magazine system. But since this thread has come back, I'll throw in.
My Remington 700 SPS with the Remington Detachable Magazine system is frustrating at best. I have seen USGI AR mags that work better than the R700's DM system. Sadly, the follower in mine likes to find it's way out of the magazine shell (Retaining stamps not stamped in far enough) and for the price of 45$ per, I'd rather pick up a different magazine system that uses less shoddy magazines.
It works, ok, the last round usually requires a quick push to load, as a slow one will end up with the dang thing trying to pop out of the breach area
It is also only 4 rounds in the .308 version. I have managed to squeeze 5 in, but it is too difficult to cycle the bolt with the magazine in.
I'm also interested in more about the Wyatt's DBM system.
EDIT: Forgot to add that the Remington DBM is supported by very few (if any) stock makers, which makes it an absolute PITA to find stocks for unless you wish to modify the stock for the Rem DBM or convert to another DBM.
