77/22: I want open sights. Can I replace barrel?

    I have a very early model Ruger 77/22 without open sights, but I'd like to have them. Anyone know where I can buy a replacement barrel with sights?

    How about having sights installed on the existing barrel? If the rifle shoots good now, I'd hesitate to replace the barrel just to get iron sights when you can have them installed. Ruger front/rear sight bases are available and a few companies like NECG offer some good options for sight bases, blades, and front posts.
