I’m loading these bullets in my 7mm-08 just a tad over 3000fps... Do you think that’s plenty fast enough for a average size Whitetail Deer? My accuracy is pretty good just under 1” at 100 yards

Fast enough and then some. 3000 fps is cooking.

my 6.5 deer load is about 2450
TTSX need more velocity than cup'n cores to perform reliably.

Im guessing yours is a Grendel with a 123?

I load those in my 7-08 also, at about the same speed....Think mine are just under 3K, 2975 or something like that....
A buddy of mine hit a 60-70lb sheep in the shoulder at about 75yds and the performance was quite good. Havent hit them any farther than that. I wouldnt let my velocity drop much under 2200 tho.

I keep threatening to run them out of my 28 Nosler at stooopid, but havent yet.

Not the TTSX but I run the 120 Nosler BT Hunting bullet right at 3000 and get excellent accuracy and performance. That's a mid range load and not maxed out...

I use their TAC TX bullet with impact velocity’s ~2000 fps with impressive results on pigs.

I am running the grendel, so not enough speed at distance for monolithic. 120 gr gold dots (aka ugly bullets)

Thats cool! Much broader range of cartridges and distances will be happy with that impact velocity. The only ones ive worked with much are the original X bullets and the TTSX. Somebody suggested TACs for my 300aac I THINK, but I was already over the round so never got any.

Grendels a great little round. Ive not used the GDs in rifle form yet, but everyone ive talked to about them has liked them. I shot 123A-max and 100gr balistics for the most part.

I was pretty much done with the round myself before I tried that bullet and was impressed enough with it I wanted to try ones like it for 7mm BR and emailed Barnes for suggestions on 7mm bullets that worked like it does. Their reply.

…Any of our 7mm TSX, TTSX or LRX bullets will perform on game the same. Maybe the LRX’s like the 139 gr would be the closest to what you are thinking. Any will work great. That 139 LRX has a low impact velocity of 1400 fps the same as the 30 cal 110 gr TAC-TX.
