7X57mm Mauser bullets

I am going elk hunting next year and will be using my 7X57. What bullet would you use? Weight, style, manufacturer. I was thinking a 140 grain Barnes tipped TSX. Are there any other suggestions? Thanks for any advice.

You can't make a bad choice if you choose Nosler Partition's.

They have been working perfectly for a lot of years.

What rcmodel said is true. You simply cannot go wrong with NPs. They will do the job. I load nothing else, for hunting.

I like the Nosler 175gr. Spitzer, it seems to shoot better in my Mauser than the lighter weight stuff.

I like Remington Core-Lokt 140gr for my 7x57.

I'd like to find the bullets used by Prvi Partisan for their 139 gr SP load.

If it were me, I'd probably use a 150 gr. Sierra BTSP. But honestly, any quality bullet is going to work within the range that the 7x57 is good for on elk (about 350 yards).

I would use a Nosler 140gr flatbase partition. It is absolutely deadly
on deer in the 7x57.
