870 barrel on an 1100?

Are the barrels interchangeable between the Remy 870 and 1100?

No, one is a pump the other is a gas operated semi auto.

If you look at the barrel extensions (where the barrel sticks into the receiver), you'll notice that the 1100 extension is much longer than the 870 extension.
