Hello all,
I hope I can find some help here, I tried searching for an answer to this questions but didnt find the answer I was looking for.
Question is, I have an 870 Express 18" barrel and 6 round magazine, because of wear and tear my magazine has gotten scratched and a little discolored. I called Remington but they would not sell me a 6 round magazine extension because they only sell that to LEO's.???? I bought it like that. I'm in California, so what is the standard magazine capacity?
I went out and bought the TAC STAR 7 round magazine but my stock barrel clamp with swivel stud does not fit with the TAC STAR magazine, the screw doesnt fit through because the magazine width is a tad bit larger. I want to keep the barrel clamp but add magazine capacity if possible but I dont want the magazine to be longer than the barrel. Basically I want a replacement and a backup.
Any suggestions on getting a stock 6 round magazine from Remington directly or is the Choate 2 round Magazine Tube Extension going to work? Does anyone know if the Remington stock magazine clamp fit around the Choate extension? I have tried researching the Choate but I don't know if it will be longer than the 18" barrel, i dont think that would be good.
Thanks for any help!
