Hi Guys - long time lurker and first time poster :D

Just scored an 870 Tactical 2 (model 81402) with the folding Knoxx butt at a great price (well I think it was!) of $449 new in box. I'm psyched because as I already have an 870 Wingmaster for sporting, I think this new 870 will be great for HD and camping - it is TINY when the stock is folded up.

My question is, I saw the newer 870 Express Tactical and just wondering HOW my 870 Tac 2 differs from the Express Tactical (other than its stock, breacher thingie and ghost rings).

All the other Tac 2s I've seen are selling for around $600 where the Express Tacticals are about $450 so there must be a difference right? I hope I didn't get ripped off...

Is mine heavier duty and more finished on the inside? It is legitimately heavier than the Express Tactical was and was noticibally smoother... Hoping you guys can help me out - searched for about 20 minutes and could not find an answer...

Here are links to each of the 870s:

Thank you very much for any help!

The differences are the obvious ones. Breacher, gost ring sights, standard stock vs. a knoxx recoil reducing stock. The knoxx stock is a bit more expensive and I believe that is the difference. Be careful trying to fire that puppy with the stock folded, do not try to sight down the barrel or you may get smacked in the face by it.

If it is smooth and fires great why worry about anything else? Just care for it, lots of oil, and have a safe and good time with it.
