For the revolver Fiocchi makes it new,,,
But they only do it once every few years.
I got lucky and was able to purchase 550 rounds of it last year.
I sent a snail mail letter to their USA plant,,,
They kindly sent me the list of distributors they delivered to.
Gads Custom Cartridges will make ammo for you,,,
I bought some one time and it worked well enough,,,
If I recall correctly he uses cut-down 32-20 cartridges.

I think he is talking about the 8mm Lebel rifle caliber?

Hey ex, I think lee makes dies for your Lebel. I might have a lead on a Berthier carbine in 8mm Lebel. If the price is right, I might buy it.
This is an 1894 Mannlicher 8mm Lebel. First smokeless cartridge. But then, you all knew that.
My uncle brought this back from France after WW2.
when I got it the bore was growing fuzz and looked like the pits of he11. It turned out to be the preservative.
Many bronze brushings later and soakings/scrubbings, the bore is shiny and the rifling crisp.
I have a burning curiosity to fire this thing that has been in my closet for 4 years now.
It still has the original leather loing with the French soldiers name on it.
Don't know how much I will shoot it, but would sure like to try. I'm guessing that if I had some ammo to go with it (considering I ever want to sell it) that it's value would be increased.
It certainly is an oddball shaped cartridge (rifle).

When you shoot the old gal post the results. And get someone to take pictures of you shooting. Then we can all be green with envy!

I'll see what happens with these before I get dies. Might not eve be something I want to shoot...?

Have done nothing with the rifle except clean the barrel and oil it good, and oil the stock so as to prevent any drying/cracking/checking.
Have not recieved ammo yet. Just tried to call and it was busy. Will be calling through the day 'till I get someone..
I have access to a good cam now, and will try to getsome bore pics with a good inside light.
In the orig photos, the sling shows to be standard issue with the french soldiers name written on it!

The fine gents at Best pawn did me a splendid deal!! When I called him, he said he had (his guess) 8 or 9 rounds left. Said he'd take $5 for it. I told him on the phone it's worth more than that to me, charge me $10 plus shipping.
It showed up today... total 20 rounds... charge was $15!
