Looking for the best price for 8mm Mauser ammo, Ammoman had 900 rds or so for $99 delivered but then they say pickup is only $59 a case?? $40 is way more than normal shipping so somebody has to be cheap.

Where is the $.05/rd stuff at? Don't care if it is corrosive my Mauser has had that for 50 years I bet. I am running low and need to order a K or two.

Also, Swedish 6.5x55 target ammo. Anywhere? Again, Ammoman has 10 boxes of Wolf for $100 delivered... but its Wolf...!

Any help appreciated AND thanks in advance.

I hate to say it, but your best bet there is to learn to handload.
About the cheapest stuff I've seen is PMC at around $9/box, but they either load them too hot or had a bad run of them a few years ago, I have 2.5 boxes of the stuff left over that I won't shoot because I was getting sticky extraction while shooting it.

Rangerruck is correct. The Wolf Gold ammo is not the usual Russian stuff. It's made in Croatia by Prvi Partisan and is good ammo and reloadable. Buy either of those brand names and you'll be okay and have money left in your pocket. :)

Ammoman list the 140 gr FMJ for $13 a box (20 rounds) with an 8 box min or $250 for a case of 500 ounds. They list the 140 gr Hi-Shok for $12 a box (20 rounds) with an 8 box min or $250 for a case.

This place is a bit more expensive but it is new brass and it shoots clean and accurate. I've shot sub 3" groups at 600 yards using it.

The Hunting Shack

I have also picked up PMC from here for $9.95 plinking ammo. PMC

I have also bought some of the Georgia Arms 120 gr with a Nosler bullets for hunting. Very accurate.

I bought Prvi 6.5 at a recent gunshow for $6 or was it $7 a box.

Based on the look of it I'm thinking it was made in the same plant that used to make Hansen before the unpleasantness over there caused imports to stop. Used to pay $5-6 back in the day, what 8-10 years back.

Could be wrong on the manufacturer but not on the price.

I had some Yugo 6.5x55

that was quite good. Century was the importer. The brass had really consistant neck thicknesses.

140 gr Amax
Reloader 22
I was getting 2900 FPS out of the 29 inch barrel. This is considered an overload for the M96.

Well, all this month it turns out, Century has a special on 8mm Mauser (Yugo I think), it is boxed 15 rds per box, 900 rds per case, the price is $45 per case of 900, no limit to how much you order, they charge a flat rate of $12.50 S&H for the total order, be it one case or 100 cases. Order more than $150 they give you a free bayonet. Don't know if it is on strippers or not but will see soon as BrownSanta delivers.
Also they have the HiShok 6.5x55 FMJ going for $7.55/20 with a 5% discount this month. I ordered 10 boxes of 6.5x55 and 3 cases of (900) 8mm, the total s&h for the order was $12.50!!
Now I wish there was a way to chamber an EBR in 8mm Mauser!
