Do you have any information on a 9.1mm Nagant revolver? I saw one at a gun store recently and was curious. The thing was a lot heavier than a normal Nagant, the cylinder did not move back and forth, and the cylinder axle was nearly as long as the barrel with a knurled knob on the end. IIRC the barrel was octagonal.
How many of these things were made and who used them?
Thanks in advance,
Apple

[edited to add] I woke up at about 11:30p.m. and realized that 9.1mm might mean .38 caliber. Does it? Would that be .38S&W, special... ?

Nagant made revolvers in a lot of calibers for European customers.

I sincerely doubt that it's a .38 Spl. revolver, but it could be .38 S&W, or one of many proprietary 9mm cartridges that existed in europe over the years, such as the 9mm Dutch Revolver round.

Arthur J. Mack lists several 9.1 cartridges in his Cartridge Case Measurements . There are cases from 17mm to 75mm in length. One of them is the .380.
Then there are the 9.15's.
