I bought a pound of BE-86 some time ago because of all the positive reviews but haven't used any yet.
Bullets on hand are 147 Gold Dot, 124 JHP (Hi Shock) and probably some 147 plated and coated.
Any favorite recipes?

I would just mention that I think Alliant's BE86 data is a bit on the hot side.
Work up to MAX carefully.

With a 125 JHP Alliant list 5.9 as the MAX @ 1.12, type of JHP not mentioned.
For me I would say 5.7 is a more realistic # for MAX charge with a 125.

I am not sure why they sell be-86 in containers smaller than the 8#. :)
For "future" converts to be hooked, ummm, I mean "try out". ;)

And you know Promo only comes in 8 lb containers ... With "newly" blended Promo that meters better, maybe Alliant knew they would sell a lot of it? - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...blended-promo-for-more-accurate-loads.841097/

9 mm ... 147 gr ... I have ... w231, bullseye
I like W231/HP-38 for 9mm and 147 gr. 3.5 gr has been my reference load but did a comparison with Bullseye, Promo and Titegroup with relative felt recoil to W231/HP-38 reference load - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...-for-147g-9mm-subsonics.824456/#post-10607922

Everyone is talking like BE-86 is the Final Solution to 9mm, and a few other cartridges. I've always used Unique, in 9mm and .380, and it's not been easy, I'd love to come up with a one-powder solution.
I've used it with success in 380, 9, 40, 45acp, 44mag, 357mag, 38spl, and 10mm. It won't give full magnum velocity, but makes stout plinking loads in 357 and 44.

Don't know how it will translate to the 124 Hi Shock bullets, but I found an accurate load with RMR 124 JHP bullets, seated to 1.040", with 4.8gn of BE86. Right at 1100 fps from a 4.75" barrel.
