About to order some bullets and noticed for first time, Berry‘s are .356” while my other candidates (RMR & Extreme) are .355”.

I’ve been using Extreme .355” for several years and of late am undersizing and not expanding. Do you think I could do the same with .356”?

Any other reason to care about difference?

I let the bullet dictate the expanding and flaring step. It’ll tell you how much is needed.
As to the .355 dimension, most jacketed I use are that spec. It’s surprising that Blue Bullets cast and coated 9mm line is also standard at .355 but can be special ordered at .356. I tried both and while the .356 was a bit faster precision didn’t change.
The slightly larger bullet can fill the bore more but you’ll have to judge its merits by holes on paper.

You’ll be fine.
Yes.

Only if you experience significant bullet setback (Say more than .005").

When using .355" sized bullets, thinner case wall brass can produce greater bullet setback and if you want to eliminate bullet setback, you can sort by headstamp for thicker wall cases - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...neck-tension-and-bullet-setback.830072/page-4

If you have mostly thinner case wall brass, you can choose to use larger sized .3555" RMR/Speer TMJ/Gold Dot bullets or .356" sized Berry's/Zero/HSM/Power Bond/Accura bullets - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...re-sized-the-same.818806/page-2#post-10567453

But since 9mm brass is so much cheaper, often free range pick up, it may be easier/cheaper to use thicker walled brass and use thinner case wall brass for .356"-.357" sized lead/coated lead bullets.

I’ve got some .354” Xtreme (listed as .355”) and some .356” Berry’s. My carbine prefers the .354” bullets and my Glock prefers the .356” bullets.
It’s a crap shoot.
