i have loaded a few different brand of 9mm 147 coated bullets, example is the Springfield XDM is throated short, some 147 bullets had to be loaded as short as 1.060, wanting to stay with the 147gr tips, has anyone been down this road to find a 147 that i can load to 1.150 OAL, the Bayou can be loaded at 1.130, the Acme 147 can be loaded to 1.080, the profile on the 147 blue rn has to be 1.060, not sure on other brands, curious how the SNS castings or the Black Bullets Int would be or other brands i am not aware of.

If you are loading 147 gr bullets that short, I hope you calculated bullet seating depth and max case fill for that depth so as to not compress your powder charge. ;)

Be safe.

One of my guns won't take most bullets any longer than 1.100". So far, Bayou Bullets are the only ones that I can load to 1.130", give 'em a try.

no i have not, have you tried them vs any of the ones i mentioned, if so can they be loaded longer.

HI Jamie

my buddy had a few of the 147 gr FP SnS Casting bullet, so this morning i compared it to the Bayou, the SnS is a no lube groove bullet, the bullet touches the lands at 1.138 and the Bayou touches the lands at 1.130, still would like to find a bullet to load to 1.150 but want to stay with coated,

No Chetc, I sure haven't. Up until now my reloading experience with 9mm has been very basic, one bullet and one load. I've just recently started really playing with the 9mm. I may soon as I've stuck to 124 and 115 grain bullets thus far.

I just recently did some work with the RMR HM 115 grain that going to post a thread on.
