i am currently shooting the 135gr and 147 gr coated bullet from SNS which are the no groove type, who else makes the 135 and the 147 no groove coated in 9mm bullet

Chet

Bayou Bullets makes 124gr with no groove, I've been using the LRN, going to try the no groove flat points next.

Precision Bullets in Kemp Texas has (3) 9mm black moly coated sizes - 115, 125, and 147 gr flat points with no lube groove. I have not tried then but would like to.

anyone shooting them, any comments before i go thru ordering bullets, are they prompt on deliveries ect,

Chet

I use the 125 grainers from Precision. I am on my third batch of 1000. They have a concave base. Despite this, I do not find them difficult to load.

Kings shooter supply i know has the 124gr pc bullets without the lube groove. Might be worth calling them to see if the 147 is offered too.

Thebluebullets.com has 147 RN without a lube groove. I've shot 2000+ of their un-grooved 125gr and will be buying more :)

BE-86 is next-up in the bullpen ~ should work with the PC 147 grainers :)

Over at the range today with a work-up for the Precision poly-coated 147g FP's.
BE-86 was used for a laddered 4.0 ~ 4.2 ~ 4.4 grain middle-of-the-road trial.
4.2g seemed to work best :D from 7 yards.

Startin' to like those coated FP's.

Put in an order for another 500 from Precision in Texas. I likum' free shipping.

Second order arrived in 3 days ~ same quality coating as on the first lot of 250.
Pretty good from TX to PA.
Looking to gear-up for that KT Sub2000 Gen2 - looks like they've added many features that were suggested by others.

MBC Hi-Tek 147g FP

MBC Hi-Tek will be up next for 147g testing.
30 rounds loaded today for (hopefully) some range time tomorrow.
Stickin' with BE-86 for test consistency ;)

MBC Hi-Tek will be up next for 147g testing....

After a light snowfall, I sloshed over to the range to give the MBC HI-TEK coated bullets a little test ;)

The single-groove flat-point performed well from my Glock 19 @ 7 yards.
Note: One flyer under the label.

4.2g of BE-86 still seems to work best for my pistol. YMMV :D

NEXT UP: 147g FP Better Bullets from King Shooter's Supply.

King Shooters Supply Better Bullets

With another single-groove FP 147gr poly-coated bullet in the line-up, testing today was much more comfortable with the temperature @ 40 degrees.
Brought the Gen3 Glock 19 w/RD to see if the purple-coated Better Bullets would perform "BETTER" than the others  from a 7-yard perch.

No problems with feeding from Glock mags, although the texture of the coating was not as smoothly applied as the Precision bullets were.

Of the varieties I've tried, I feel that the Precision truncated-cone coated was (IMO) the overall best bullet :scrutiny: of the three 147 grainers tested.
....without the lube groove. Might be worth....

Yes, it could be an important consideration

As always, YMMV ;)
