Read an article in the "Blue Press" by Duane Thomas for soft recoil. He states a 147 gr bullet with N320 is his choice. I can't find a starting load posted anywhere. It's not in the VihtaVuori manual. Anyone know of a source? :)

Viht N320

I know that this is an older thread, I found it by doing a search on N320.

I am doing the same thing. I have always shot Blazer ammo in the 115 grain loading. It shoot fine in my Glock 34. Shot some groups this AM with the Blazer. Five shot groups into 1 1/2" at 50'. I shot 11,000 rounds of this stuff this year and like it a lot. So why the change? It does 140 power factor out of the 5.3" barrel and I don't need that much juice to make power factor for USPSA or IDPA.

I'm looking for a softer load but not a mouse fart load either. I have decided to shoot the Zero 147 grainers (number one bullet in Production division at Nationals this year for USPSA). I bought 3000 of the Zeros and 4 pounds of Viht N320. I plan on loading up some at 3.3 and 3.4 grains at 1.155 and pick the one that shoots the best in the gun at 50 yards. I will then chrono and verify that I meet minimum power factor of 125 but have a goal around 130 - don't want to cut it too close.

For those not familiar with USPSA here is a link: http://www.uspsa.org/

Power factor is figured out by weight in grains multiplied by velocity / 1000.
