I doubt the rails are aluminum, they wouldn't last very long.

As Edarnold said, they are indeed an aluminium alloy, and Sig's are far from the only pistols to run a steel slide on an aluminium frame.

The Anodizing helps a lot with wear, as does keeping the rails properly lubricated.

This is the first time I've ever heard someone question CZ's customer service or machining. All the CZ's I've shot or handled have been excellent and sweet shooters.
