I am looking for a Load for a 9mm load using the following: 95 gr. LRN, .356 I would like to use either True Blue or Titegroup powder with a CCI 500 small pistol primer

Any special reason you want to use a .380 ACP bullet weight in the 9mm?

Fraid I can't help you with a load suggestion, because that's a real light bullet for 9mm use. None of my books lists any loads for it with either True Blue or Tightgroup.

Whatever it turns out to be will probably have to loaded pretty warm to get enough recoil to operate most 9mm pistols with that light a bullet.

9mm Load is for a Taurus 905 9mm Revolver

I am trying to come up with a load that I can use out of the Taurus 905 9mm Revolver I just picked up. I really enjoy shooting it and the reason I got it was to carry for self defense. I have 2 9mm autos but both are big and heavey, my wife carries a Ruger SP101 in 357. I wanted to be able to use the 9mm so I would not have to reload anything else. I was hoping that I could get a load that was lighter and a little less recoil just to practice for trigger control and so on. My normal 9mm load is a little strong, and since I will not carry reloads for self defense just wanted to try something else. Thanks for responding, I guess I could be all wet, if I cut down the bullet weight will that increase the pressure and recoil? Let me know what you think. Thanks Dudley.

Hodgdon doesn't list a LRN but they have loads for 95gr. Sierra FMJ that you can start from.

Since you're loading for a revolver, you don't have to worry about function. If it were me*, I would load 3.2gr. of Titegroup to start and go from there. Titegroup is very tolerant of light loads. (I load 3.2gr. Titegroup in .223rem)

*YMMV. Load at your own risk and what I choose to do is my decision. I am not making decisions for you. Don't follow any advice from the internet.

I have loaded 95g FMJ for 9mmx19. Because of the short bearing surface available, I found them rather annoying to get seated square. Based on that experience, I woudn't recommend projectiles below 115g for 9mmx19.

If I wanted a light 9mmx19 loading for a revolver, I would look at 115g FMJ at say 1000 ft/second. That's substantially below standard loadings for that projectile weight (1170 ft/sec nominal).

I have shot them in 9MM, but I don't remember what charge. I did not log that one. I had a note on it for a long time, but tossed it some time back. I used W-231, I know that much.
