9mm MAK in stock at Academy

I stopped by Academy yesterday and picked up some ammo. Much to my suprise, they had 9mm MAK in stock. It was $8.49 a box for Monarch 94 grain FMJ, laquer coated steel case. Even though I just ordered 400 rounds over the net this week, I picked up an additional 100 rounds. I figure if enough of it is purchased, they will keep it in stock.

This may be old news, but over the last couple of years, I have asked for 9mm MAK when at Academy in hopes that they might one day carry it, and received only blank stares, or attempts to sell me 9mm Luger.

Now, many of you who have not purchased a CZ82 or Makarov no longer have the excuse of ammo not being readily available...

The two Academy's in Plano have stocked 9x18 for several years now.

I got a couple of boxes of that stuff last week because my local gun shop was out of S&B. It wasn't until I got to the range that I remembered that they don't allow steel-cased ammo there. Ended up returning it, so I don't know how it shoots. I did notice that they seal the bullet and primer.
