I am an experienced reloader. All of my loads are within safe loading specs. These were shot from a Taurus P709 slim. I have cases that are bulged down close to the head. Different headstamps, not all as bad. All shot at the same time. Baffling to me. Will these cases still be safe to load or should they be pitched? The rounds shot today were both 125 grain LRN. One was 3.1 grains of clays, the other was 3.6 grains of SR7625. Bulge is only on one side of the case. Bullet is seated deep enough to not be into the rifling. All live reloads fit into the chamber just like factory ammo. UPDATE: As one poster said and is correct, the chamber is unsupported. Shot some more rounds, seems like the bulge problem is sensitive to the amount of times the brass has been loaded, probably 4 or 5 times is all you get. I feel comfortable shooting standard reloads from this gun but will carefully inspect the cases and scrap when bulge is to bad.
