9mm revolvers

Add Ruger's Service Six and Charter Arms 9mm Pit bull to the list of discontinued 9mm revolvers. All hard to find. Do your homework so the choices are clear in your head. Watch the shows and auction sites and stand ready. You'll have to be lucky and quick but there is hope.

The easiest purchase, new or used, is Ruger's SA Blackhawk convertible with dual cylinders for 9mm and .38/.357. An excellent handgun, as good as or better than any of the above, but since I can buy one anytime, why hurry. Supply and demand. :)

If you really want to lust after the holy grail of 9mm revolvers add the Astra Police with quick change cylinders, one for 9mm and one for .38/.357. If Ruger could do it why not Astra? I read of it years ago in an indepth comparative report on 9mm firearms (rifles, pistols and revolvers) but cannot prove it exists beyond that. The photo showed the typical Astra contours my eyes now watch for. If I find one I will buy it, unless the price is beyond my limit, not hard to do. I'm sure its primary market was Europe (true of the others, too) and this one may never have made it here.

I found my S&W 940 Centennial at a local gunshow and grabbed it. Sweet shooting and a beauty to hold and behold. Loaded moon clips are compact, positive, fast in and out. No fumbles.

I really want a 9mm snubbie revolver. It has been said Ruger made a few Speed Six 9mm snubbies.

What is the S&W model that was made? Can you still get moon clips for these?

I like the 9mm. I think a Gold Dot +p 124 grain would be a good load out of a snubbie. Not as punishing as a .357 but better than .38.

How do I find one of these?
Hello I've got one (Ruger Speed Six) w/ approx 10 clips, what do you have to trade or how much do you want to pay.
