Well, i really dont read a book. other than i have to or things iam interested in.

At lunch time i need to kill some time.

What kind of gun book do you guys recommend?

It was produced by North American Hunting Club. The Game Rifle by Bob Hagel. In my opinion he was the best gunwriter ever. The first hand knowledge he had about handloading and bullet performance was second to none. Find that book. You'll be glad you did. I've read mine over and over.

to be more clear

tactical carbine or handgun.

or how to improve handgun skills. something along in this line.

i guess DVD is fine too. lol

Applied Ballistics for Long Range Shooting - Bryan Litz

To Ride, Shoot Straight, and Speak the Truth - Jeff Cooper

Any reloading manual

This won't sound logical, but this:

Shotgunning; the Art and the Science by Bob Brister.

I know, sounds unrelated. But it's a heck of a good read (WAAAY not PC), funny, and what it talks about dry firing and point shooting will apply to anything other than long-range rifle. It made my shotgun shooting improve 200 to 300% off the bat, and pulled my hand-gunning up about the same. I was amazed. And it was dang funny to read. I can not recommend it highly enough to most all shooters.

Go to Amazon or half.com and find a used copy or whatever, but this is a highly instructive book.

'Hell, I Was There' by Elmer Keith.

Download " Unintended Consequences" for free.

How do you do that, Keb?
Is it from the author?
If not, why would you rip off a fellow gunowner like John Ross?

You're right. Although I will admit that I've been guilty of this thoughtlessness in the past. Let's take The High Road!

Unrepentant Sinner, C. Askins. Yes, its about guns.
This Cooper and Kieth are all very good reading into a mindset that is mostly foriegn in todays world. All three were exceptional men in their time.
House to house is the best book I've read on the modern war on terror and I think the author should have the CMH for his service. I hope there is a movie in the works.

Webbj-Thats a good book. My wife gave it to me for Fathers day last year. I loaned it to a friend the other day with the stipulation "I want it back".
