Greeting and salutations. I have been reading for a while at the recommendation of Brian Williams, but this is my first post.

I will be turning 21 in the up coming month and I wanted to buy a handgun instead of getting trashed for my birthday, so I was wanted to post the question: Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new/used "Break Action" revolver chambered in .38 Special or .357 Mag? I have been in love with break action revolver for many years, but I do not see many of them. I know of the MP-412 Rex chambered in .357, but as these are not allowed to be imported I do not see myself getting one any time soon. I would enjoy an H&R 999 at some point, but I was just trying to see if I could located one in a more powerful caliber.

Only in single action. The Beretta Laramie in .38 special or .45 long colt, and the various Uberti copies of the S&W No 3 in .45 long colt and .44-40 come to mind. I'm not aware of any modern double action break tops.

Look for a surplus British Webley or Enfield revolver. Lots of them in .38 S&W (not the same as .38 Spl, but fun for plinking). They are pretty cool, IMO (the looks grow on you), and not to expensive. They often sell on Gun Broker in the $250 to $350 range, showing very little wear. And, since they're over 50 years old, they qualify as a Curio & Relic.
