why not?
I have the Cold Steel Master Hunter with CPM 3V seems pretty good although I have not abused this knife yet.
Because it's a more hard use type outdoor knife where a tougher steel like 1095 or 3V is better suited to the application.

That's what I was wondering, if they screwed up and used it. :D I've bought and used a lot of micarta and never heard of that.

Maybe its like when you screw something up

What they screwed up in the Chinese translation was probably trying to say "linen micarta" since linen is made from flax.

Chinese knives have improved enormously in the past few years to the point there are high end knives from Kizer and other Chinese manufacturers that I own and carry. OTOH, you still see a bunch of stuff on the internet and at gun shows you have to look at with a critical eye and some knowledge to decide if you're wasting your money or not. Bad translations aside, when you see something like this it is always good to ask questions.

Thanks hso,
I've been eyeballing this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0719TJL1M
I get too caught up in the type of steel with out knowing if it's been treated properly.
