A good day for the victims of Fort Hood Texas 2009...

The media announced the service members who were wounded in the tragic 2009 Fort Hood Texas spree shooting incident/terror attack will now get Purple Hearts & full DoD/military benefits(health-psyicatric care).
The US Congress will now change the incident from a "workplace violence" to a terrorist attack(act of terrorism).

This is the right move and should have been done years ago.

I wonder if this will make personal protection any higher a priority on military bases where our troops are basically unarmed. One can only hope so.

I can only salute the individual who made this so, after 5+ years of the administration shoveling horse manure down everyone's throats.

And I can only shake my head at the fact that this took five years and four months plus to be resolved correctly.

As I told my wife about two hours ago, while the evening news played this story:

Nobody gives a damn about the medals. Nobody but John Kerry collects Purple Hearts.

What we really want is that this act is acknowledged by our government for what it was...a terrorist act, an act of war against the American people and American soldiers.
