I just back from the range and I fired about 100 rounds through my M&P 9C. Things went life they normally did with my M&P. I fired several different brands of ammo....147gr JHP WWB, Federal 147gr JHP, 115gr ball, and 124gr HST. My M&P has been totally reliable since I bought it. What amazes me the most about it is just now easy this gun is to shoot WELL. Whether I shoot it fast, slow, point shooting, or PINPOINT shooting, it is incredibly easy to put all my rounds in the black. I trust it more than any other gun that I have ever owned.
After shooting my M&P I broke out one of my other guns and my shots were all over the place. At first I thought, "dang, this thing isn't accurate at all." I finally settled down and really concentrated. I shot nice groups with it. It was accurate but my M&P had spoiled be so bad I thought shooting well was EASY. My wife has a full sized M&P 9mm and it is even easier to shoot than my compact.
I have had this experience several times with comparisons between my other guns and with guns others have brought to the range. On one occasion a guy swapped guns with me for a few shots and he shot better groups with my M&P than he did with his own polymer gun.
I know some other guns have better triggers but the M&P just seems to have the right combo of things going for it that make it very EASY to shoot well. Thats not a tangible quality but with other guns I have good days and bad days at the range. Its always a good day with my M&P.

Have any of you guys noticed this with the M&P??

This is really funny. I actually started this thread before but instead of saying "other gun" I specified it was my Combat Commander. The thread was quickly full of guys who were quick to point out how ignorant I was that I could compare the M&P to the mighty 1911 even though it never really was a comparison. I should try again and this time I'll say it was Glock or a SIG or a XD. I bet it would see a lot more activity than this!!

was thinking of buying the 9c and just today went and handled one i have a thread going about polymer subcompacts and got a lot of good sugestions but i think you might just have convinced me -thanks

Bikerdoc. I've shot a lot of guns and I can really say the M&P really is a good shooter. I can shoot more accurately, more easily with it than any other gun I've shot. Even at extreme rapid fire I am confident with it. NONE of my other guns give me that sensation. This is why the M&P 9C is the one I keep on my hip when I'm out.

My M&P has been 100% with everything I've shot in it. In hollow points I've tried Remington UMC, WWB JHP 115gr and 147gr, Speer 147gr Gold Dot, Hornady 124gr XTP, Federal 147gr JHP, Rem Golden Saber 147gr, and my carry load the 124gr Federal HST. They all fed perfectly. The only exception was the Federal 147gr JHP which fed with no malfunctions but the slide was perceptibly slower cycling so I don't have confidence in that load. The other heavy loads were fine. Personally I prefer the 124gr loads or 115 grain fast loads with modern HPs like the Gold Dots that will retain their weight.
