I agree, caliber is secondary to shot placement. The 9mm has benefited mightily from recent advances in bullet design. There are many loads no that will expand big and penetrate deep. If you get better hits with the nine than thats what you should carry. With my M&P I know that within 10 yards I can hit EXACTLY what I aim at. Thats more important to me than a slightly larger bullet. Now if Smith releases a compact 45acp that gives me that same level of confidence I may change my tune slightly!
