Beretta, is the parent company of Tikka and Sako, IMHO some of the best factory rifles currently made.
As a left-handed shooter I loved the way Tikka and Sako made a broad array of calibers available in their lefty guns. They even made more than one action length. I own two Sakos and a Tikka, so I put my $$$ where my mouth is.
Well I guess all good things have to come to an end. The latest Beretta catalog shows NO left-handed Tikkas, and left-handed Sakos in only THREE calibers! To add insult to injury they make some statement like "three popular calibers .25.06, .270, and 30.06 give the lefty everything he needs from antelope to elk". How patronizing can you get!
My most recent purchase is a Weatherby Ultralight in .257 Wby. Bye-bye Tikka and Sako, it was fun while it lasted.
