A little good news!

Mrs. Asterisk informs me that we will soon have another Asterisk!

There have been some terrible things befall our High Road family in the past week or so. I tought everyone may like to share my family's joy.

Names? I guess some thought will have to be given to the subject. Names like Chester and Virgil seem kind of cruel, but this kid is likely to be big enough that he/she will never be teased too much (esp. if it gets his mother's temper).

Schuey2002, my wife informs me that my contribution was minor and that I should take no credit.

First child? Yes? (evil laugh). Start preparing now, man. You are in for one heck of a ride. It's a tough road, long hours, hard work, and the whole ordeal will push you to your emotional and physical limits. You're gonna want to scream at times and you'll spend alot of time being confused. But the first time you lay eyes on the little boy/girl.......you'll forget about the whole thing.

New kid, yeaaah!

Well, 1*, congrats & best wishes to you & yr. tribe. Rajay has it right. All I can add is to be sure to ENJOY the time when your young'un is little, because they just don't stay that way long. And your time of influence is likewise highly limited.

I hope this is unnecessary advice, but BE THERE for the kid. Your presence is worth more than the overtime pay or whatever might keep you from him/her. Cuddle 'em. Read to 'em. Play with 'em. You can't do it too much.
