I've been on the market for a Kimber CDPII Pro, and stopped by a local gun shop to price/look around and he had a brand new from the factory Kimber CDPII Pro for $1,049. As I looked around, he also had a Kimber CDP Pro (first edition) in another case for $999. In looking at it, the thing is brand new, but in his used case. I asked him about it and he said it was a trade from one of his regulars. The guy had bought it, put it in a safe and never fired it. I believe it.
Question is this, which one of these two would you take and why? I've heard the uproar about the series 2 pistols, but that largely seems to be a thing of the past. Is there an advantage to buying the new new over the old new?
Thanks in advance for the informed help.
