Im in the market for a new folder. My limit is 60 bucks. It will Be an EDC most likely.

I was looking at some Kershaw and Benchmade stuff. Is the Monochrome any good?

and I got a Kershaw Vapor as a gift. Is it Decent?

Mostly what I use my knives for day to day is to cut tape and cut hard plastic packages open.

On a side note: Thanks to everybody on Non-firearm weapons. you guys taught me the gift of Sharpening:D

Thanks for your help.

Well, I can tell you , I will never buy another liner-lock after owning a Benchmade with the Axis locks. I hated them at first, until I realized how to operate the thing. You can quickly open and close them by holding the lock back and using a very small amount of inertia to open or close the blade, and then releasing the spring-loaded lock once the blade is in position. I had been wondering why everyone was raving about the Axis locks. I kinda felt like a dunce once I finally figured it out . Now I can't imagine going back to anything else.

I hear you, brother. I just got a Benchmade combo edge Griptillian. I wish it was a plain edge but the price was REALLY right. I think I'll try to find a mini-griptillian with a plain edge. This isn't my first Benchmade but it is my first Axis lock knife. It won't be my last. As much as I like my Spyderco Centofante III and my Native, this new Benchmade is my EDC knife.

+1 Benchmade
You can pick up a 555 Griptilian in your price range and it has the Axis lock. Check out e-bay, you might find a higher end knife slightly used at a decent price with better scales.
